Trailers, Trailers Everywhere

Tomorrow I shall venture forth to watch "Zombieland." SO. EXCITED.

In honor of the release of the long-awaited zombie apocalypse, I have some trailers to share. Firstly, of course, the trailer for "Zombieland," in case you have had the misfortune of not seeing it yet.

(Is it just me, or is it impossible to say the word "misfortune" without using a British accent?)

One of the things I'm looking forward to most in a zombie apocalypse is getting to go into mansions and live there rent-free. It seems a fair trade-off: worldwide epidemic of deadly proportions in exchange for free room and board in a swanky house.

Next trailer is one that makes me blubber just watching it.

It looks nearly identical to "Becoming Jane," but Ben Whishaw is HAWT in that dorky, adorable way. And him + poetry + lots and lots of poetry = two hours of blubbering. Sigh.

I can't remember if I posted the trailer for this movie yet or not. But it looks so bloody good (ha, bloody. You'll see why that's funny in a minute) that I'm going to post it again.

I have no problem with vampires -- when they're original. And this movie bleeds (ha, another pun) originality. It's brilliantly unique. Humans as an endangered species? Vampire domination? Love. It.

The last trailer I'll post has me on the fence.

On the one hand, Paul Bettany. On the other hand -- seriously, Paul Bettany? I don't think I'd be able to take angels seriously. Kind of like if I encountered a vampire now; I'd laugh and point and say "Hehe, you sparkle!" Maybe "Legion" will make angels scary. Either way, Paul Bettany. Mmm, Paul Bettany. Mmm.

Any movies you're itching to see?

EDIT: OHMYGAWD Maggie Stiefvater is writing a SEQUEL TO SHIVER. And not just a sequel. IT'S A TRILOGY. DUDE.

You totally posted my favorite trailers.
I can't wait to see Daybreakers. I'm a huge fan of Willem DaFoe and this new character he's adopting is totally different from his usual. I also love the concept. Fascinating! I didn't think they'd take this comic this seriously. I'm just giddy as a school girl!

and Bright Star has already earned my high-fives BECAUSE IT IS WRITTEN BY A WOMAN! WHAT WHAT WHAT!
that rarely ever happens in the film industry!
Plus that guy is totally skgljdeujrkeo sexy.

As for my thoughts on Legion.
I don't think putting psycho demon-grandma in the trailer is such a good idea for critics' sake, but Paul Bettany? Shirtless? Get me some of that plz ;D
He's some kind of sexy.
I think.

Great post. I love trailers. XD It's my guilty pleasure.

I'd like to see Bright Star! But it'll have to be one I see alone; now way will my hubby watch that.

And I want to see The Young Victoria. It stars Emily Blunt (from Devil Wears Prada) as Queen Victoria and Rupert Friend (Wickham in the latest version of Pride and Prejudice) as Prince Albert. It supposedly coming out sometime in late December in limited release (already released in the UK some months ago). Here's a link to a trailer, which makes me get teary eyed at the end :P :

Thanks for the trailer vids!

Brigitte -- Paul Bettany shirtless will be sole reason I see Legion. The demon-grandma was a bit of a turn-off (okay, a huge turn-off; scary little old women? That's just...wrong), but Paul Bettany. Sans-shirt. Mmm. I'll put up with anything for that.

inthewritemind -- Young Victoria! I knew there was a trailer I was forgetting! I LOVE Emily Blunt; she's dead-on Victoria in the trailer. I'll have to post it next time. Hopefully it comes out in the US soon; it's not fair that only the UK gets to see such awesomeness! Bring it over the pond, lads!

I don't think I could watch Legion at all. I hate anything that freaky. But Paul Bettany shirtless is definitely a temptation!

I hadn't heard of Bright Star. That looks good! I'll pass on the zombies. I hate zombies. Daybreakers actually has me very intrigued. I might have to wait to see it at home, though, or my screams will annoy the theater goers. LOL.

Thanks for posting these!

Oh, do you know what that song is at the end of Daybreakers? I want to buy it, but I have no idea who sings it or what it's called.

Lady Glamis -- I had to look up that song too; there's two versions of it, but the one in the trailer is "Running Up That Hill" by Placebo. AMAZING song. Totally added it to my story play list.

Whoa, awesome movie trailers! I'd see all of them (except the first, to be honest.)

Can't wait for Bright Star. I'm a huge sucker for tormented love period pieces. :)
