Red Like Roses

In the planning stages. Very very early planning stages.

***

Crystal Thorne: born a punk-rock princess in 1991, died a real-life princess in 1536. Or at least, that’s what she’s trying to avoid.

With her mother a European history professor at Yale and her father a physicist at Columbia, it's lucky Crystal’s escaped the Ivy League death-grip with her black-and-pink highlights intact. And when her dad is asked to leave Columbia because of his "radical" theories, the only downside she sees is no longer getting to scope the landscape of two universities (the "y" in Yale and the "um" in Columbia spell what? Yeah. Major hunk-fest). Then one of her dad's ex-students wants to see the contraption that got dad fired. One thing leads to another, and–

She steps on a platform. He pushes a few buttons.

And she wakes up staring at one of Thomas Cromwell's scribes.

Time travel, history, and sexy ye-olde scribes. What could go wrong?

  1. Tee hee...very fun.

Also--The real Aladdin story would be Alla-edin, because that's how the name is supposed to be pronounced (my hubby speaks Arabic). Could give her more "my parents shoved this stuff down my throat" cred!

    I like your narrator's voice already ; )

Plus, this sounds like it's going to be so much fun to research and world create! I'm looking forward to more excerpts.

  6. So, your Maine Kare-akthor creates the electric guitar Tudor years early, along with a few other devices, like solar-powered electricity, speakers, etc. and begins to bang-out some Death-Head Metal music--Bang Your Head, for example--changing the timeline of history, while becoming the King's favorite mistress, blah, blah, and more blah. Until, until...Along Comes Jones...the spoiler in this tale of intrigue, time-travel, and mystery. Yes, yes, yes...more, more, more...!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, my imagination got carried away. Carry on, fair damsel in distress.
