Wanted
Wanted: Muse
Answers To: "Muse," "Inspiration," and "Hey, you."
Description: Normally in a toga sporting a wreath of laurel, Muse has been known to take on more modern forms. Sometimes seen as tall, dark, and handsome, or as a box of Esther Price chocolates.
Last Seen: Near a sequel to Stream Pirate before leaping out a window, sliding past a retelling of a fairy tale, and running through four lanes of oncoming myths.
Time Since Disappearance: At least sixteen YouTube videos.
Reward: A kick-butt story idea.
Muse is considered to be armed and dangerous, seen to possess distracting movies, nagging homework, and shiny objects. If found, approach with caution.

See, you gotta play hard to get. Bring someone else into the picture—talk to a friend (hey, I'm always on chat:)) about your writing. Muse notices you don't need her/him and magically comes running back. (At least 65% of the time.)
Ooo that's true. I never thought of using jealousy as bait...Muse is a rather jealous thing by nature.
I've found deadlines work. Not writing deadlines, heavens no, but any other kind of deadline. Midterms, taxes, anything which absolutely must be done immediately. Inevitably, that's when inspiration hits. :)
Tara is right... All I need to get me writing is a big stack of papers to grade. Or a huge pile of laundry.
So -- I SHOULD do homework? But-- But-- *stomps foot* I don't wanna!
Though it is true. As soon as I start getting busy, it'll swoop in. Hm. So many good ideas! Muse is bound to come scampering back in no time.
If I find your muse I can't promise that I'll return him immediately. You know, kind of a loaner type deal. But just until I get a fab new idea for our next book. Promise.
Hm. I guess there is always that "finders keepers" rule. Darn it.
New visitor here. Nice border on your blogsite, interesting videos, and you seem to be imaginative. I think I liked your excerpt from "The Queen of Winter Trilogy" best. I look forward to seeing more posts by you in the near future. As a state Governor once said, "I'll be back", despite my troll-like physique. ;-)
You may have seen this already, but it made me think of your YouTube thingy on "dating" an agent. Here it is from the agent's PoV.

Hi, Wyman! Thanks for stopping by :)
Tara -- That is awesome! I've been seeing a lot of people drawing that parallel lately; it's just too true, I guess.
Yeah, I got a reject letter on Valentine's Day, which definitely made me draw the parallel in my mind with other Valentine fiascos in my life. ;)
Oh ouch! That's a little TOO ironic...
